The Great Journey of President Michael Chilufya Sata and the Patriotic Front

The Patriotic Front-PF before elections was the largest opposition party in Zambia. Indeed the 2011 elections has shown that its support base is larger than that of the MMD. Led by charismatic leader Michael Sata, the party has grown from strength to strength since its formation in 2001. On September 24, Mr. Sata was sworn-in as fifth President of the Republic of Zambia at the Supreme Court and the ceremony was witnessed by thousands of supporters. The occassion could only be compared to that of 1991 which saw the MMD grab power from UNIP. Lone Soldier: Re-elected Kabwata MP and Party’s Chairman for Local Government Given Lubinda captured in jubilant mood at the Party’s national convention.
